Going on vacation? Moving? Car in the shop? How many times in your life have you had to use a rental vehicle? And how many times have you been offered the insurance at the counter of the rental company?
Unless you have already asked your agent ahead of time, you will probably stand there and think, "what the hell should I do?" You may want to purchase the "optional insurance" just to be safe - but that could be a waste of your money.

It's a Saturday night and you and your wife are staying in a hotel for a weekend full of soccer tournaments for your son. Your wife decides to wash little Billy's jersey because of all the grass stains he got on it that day. After washing it out in the sink, she hangs it on the ceiling sprinkler so that it can air dry. Your son comes running through the room and YANKS the shirt down, just playing around, and suddenly the room is being drenched by the sprinkler system! Everything in the room, the wallpaper, the TV, and so forth is ruined.
Once again exceptional service slapped me in the face this week - or at least the reason WHY exceptional service is so clutch. I ordered a pizza last night from a fantastic local pizzaria. The conversation went like this; me..."um, yes, I would like to order a large thin crust pepperoni pizza, with one-FOURTH mushroom (it's for my wife)," to which the guy on the other end replied, "Oh, I'm sorry, we can't do one-FOURTH mushroom...only halves"....WHAT?
A recent windstorm came through our area and severely damaged several homes, barns and automobiles. Here are some scenarios that we encountered:
• Trees blown over into yard
• Trees blown over onto home
• Trees blown over onto vehicles in driveway
• Barn and/or sheds destroyed by the wind, any vehicles inside were totaled
Immediately, questions arise as to where coverage applies and how much is covered. Let’s take this by scenario:
