Bio

Matt's personal and business philosophy is simple, "I give value FIRST”. He is committed to developing long-term relationships with others, rekindling the fire within them, and having fun in everything he does.

Matt graduated from The Dicke College of Business Administration, at Ohio Northern University, in 2005 with a BSBA in Management. He has also attended The Gulf Island's Film & Television School, located off the coast of Vancouver, British Columbia.

In February of 2009, Matt joined the Hays Insurance Agencies as a Risk Manager and Insurance Advisor focusing on helping his clients obtain the best VALUE for every dollar they spend on their insurance protection plan; including various lines of business, as well as auto, renter’s, home, and farm insurance.

Deeply committed to local business and the professional development of others, he is deeply involved in The Allen Lima Chamber of Commerce and Lima Young Professionals, serving in leadership roles on various committees and projects. Matt is a Board Member with the Ada Chamber of Commerce, and is also an active member of the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance. His expertise in social media, marketing and branding provides him the opportunity to give value and insight to fellow members. Matt is also a 2009-10 member of Allen Lima Leadership.

Prior to this, Matt served as an Area Manager for Avascend Healthcare Hospitality overseeing more than 40 employees in the daily valet parking operations at both St. Rita's Medical Center and Lima Memorial Health System. It was in this role that he received national recognition as Manager of the Year, as nominated by over 1,200 of his peers and leaders.

Matt has also been published in a nationally circulated booklet entitled "Essays from the Heart", regarding philosophies of excellent customer service. He is a featured monthly columnist in Full Heart Family News, a local publication. His column focuses on the development of human potential and reaches thousands of individuals each month.

Matt’s passion is filmmaking and screenwriting. He and his wife Megan, and their sons Jackson and Aidin reside in Hardin County.
